To keep your furniture looking beautiful for longer, I use a wide range of treatments to include gilding, French polishing, wax only finishes, oil finishes and ebonising to name but a few. Having a clear understanding and appreciation of finishes through the different periods and styles of furniture history gives me an important platform, when considering and assessing any potential commission.

During polishing, the retention of all original finishes is always a primary goal. To retain the value of each piece, much of the work carried out involves simple and careful cleaning. This includes reviving surfaces, repairs to dents, scratches, heat marks, stains and
